Tune in April 9 for a panel on securing the Internet of Things at IoT Live, a free, online conference.

In-brief: Join Security Ledger and leading security experts Thursday, April 9, for a free, online panel on securing the Internet of Things.

Tomorrow, April 9, is Internet of Things Day, and there are various celebrations, MeetUps and recognitions happening around the world. Security Ledger will be recognizing the day by participating in a great virtual conference: IoT Live, with a panel discussion that delves into the many challenges of securing the Internet of Things.

The panel discussion, “How Should We Really Be Addressing Security” will take place between 1:45 PM EST and 2:45 PM EST and will be a Google Hangout that will allow attendees to take part and ask questions.

I’ll be moderating the panel. I’ll be joined by some great subject matter experts. Among them: Charles Wheeler, the Senior Director of Operations at Brivo Systems, security pioneer Chris Rouland the CEO of Bastille Networks, and Don Bailey, the CTO of Revolar and a noted IoT security researcher.

We’re going to be talking about a range of topics, from IoT standards for security to issues of risk and liability that connected devices raise. Do we need more government regulation of security and privacy around Internet of Things products? How is securing IoT environments different (or similar to) traditional IT environments?

I invite you to join us! Register here for this free event.
